Nowadays music differs a lot from the on that was produced some years ago.This is because there are many factors that have changed over the years.For example,the technology advancement is one of the main factors that have affected the music in Greece.For instance ,from the use of instruments we once used to have in order to make our music,we now use music and beats that come from a computer.One more factor is the refugees that have came to Greece and in order to express themselves they resorted to music,In fact there are many artist that come from abroad and are unexpectedly famous.
As for the technology,today's music in Greece is mainly trap.Trap is a result of processing beats which end up to becoming a song.Then,the artist has to write the rhymes and records them.Last but not least the producer has make any necessary changed so as to make it more appealing,an example is the use of auto-tune with which they adjust the singer's voice to the correct tone.
The other factor that had an essential part at the music change,was artist who came from abroad.With this,there were many new cultures and styles such as,trap music and rap,which were introduced to Greek music.Some bright examples are, Helena Foureira,Madclip and Tamta.
Helena Foureira is a singer from Albania who came to Greece at a very young age.She was born in 1987 at an Albanian city,Fier.She started her career in 2007 when she was a member of a group named Mystique,her solo career began in 2009 when the group was disbanded.After 9 years she was the one that represented Cyprus to eurovision in were got 2nd place with the song "Fuego". This was quite an accomplishment because eurovision is the biggest singing contest in Europe.Furthermore,she has made a song with one of the world's most famous rappers,Snoop Dogg,in 2019.Since then ,she has not stopped developing herself and trying to become greater than she is now.
Madclip(Money and drugs can't live in poverty) or as his real name is Peter Anastasopoulos
is a trapper who was born in United States in 1979 and lived there until 2016,when he came to Greece because he thought he would succeed and his future would also be brighter.At fist he was a solo trapper then he became a part of the Capital Music which is one of the most famous music companies in Greece.Most of his song have became a heat such songs are:Hustla,Montecristo and Ekali.
Tamta Goduadze is a Greek pop singer who was born on 10th of January 1981 in Tbilisi,Georgia.In 2004 she became well-know by her participation in a talent contest called Super Idol,in which she was placed second.Furthermore,she has taken part in eurovision twice firstly with Greece in 2007 and got 3rd place.The second time she was representing Cyprus and got 13th place.Lastly,she has produced many song throughout the years, with the most recent "Senorita" in which she was with Snik
Overall,we have witnessed an enormous transformation on the way music is being produced nowadays.In my opinion this is caused by technology and in the future as technology keeps developing,music will also change with the circumstances
